Sorry for the extremely short notice!

Ugly Jeep, this might be for you, but you've probably already seen this.  Or any other west coaster.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's newly developed Sucker Assisted Rearing Program (SARP) is seeking one well qualified candidate to fill a temporary seasonal technician position located in the Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Under the direction of the lead biologist, the incumbent will work closely with one fisheries technician and a private aquaculture expert to carry out fish collection, husbandry, and translocation duties for endangered Lost River and Shortnose Suckers. The SARP focuses on collecting and temporary holding wild-produced larval and juvenile suckers at relatively low numbers in semi natural rearing environments until they reach >200mm in length. This program differs from most captive propagation or hatchery programs which emphasize the use of intensive culture methods in artificial systems and often involve brood stock management. After a successful pilot effort in 2016, the SARP is swimming into its second year with a newly constructed, larger and more versatile rearing facility that will provide staff with the resources needed to provide optimal conditions to ensure high quality, healthy fish are being reared and released. Additional details and application information can be found here: https://www.usajobs....eview/465544100

This announcement closes on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
