A Japanese researcher is asking me for information
About a genus of fish. Mainly asking about where they can
Be found. He needs some preserved specimens.
Can anybody help? Collecting sites etc? He writes:

Mooneye (Hiodon tergisus) and
Goldeye (Hiodon alosoides)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mooneye

Right now I just need an information.
If you find someone who fish these, lease let me know.

I maybe able to go there and dissect by myself.

We certainly have specimens that can be loaned out from the OSU museum collection depending on what the end purpose is. You can send me a PM and I'll give you contact info to pass on if you would like. He may want fresh specimens for DNA material and I'm not sure we have that, would have to check.
