Poking around a sandy river mouth on the shores of Lake Eerie.
I'm pretty sure I have spottail shiner here (hook-shaped fins, spot on the tail haha, 8 rays, too much pigment to be ghost shiner?)

But in the mix of those guys, I also caught this guy. Now, right off the bat it looks like a sand shiner due to the stitching pattern on his lateral line. I'm really not sure though as I'm counting 8 anal fin rays (apparently they rarely have eight). It could be a more mature spottail shiner? The fins don't appear to be quite as falcate.
