Sure look like those across the gravel from a little church.

They are captive bred that I got from a friend . I'll have ask him their source. I have had them for a year and a half.

what set em off?  Did you actively do something, or are they just reacting to day length or water temp or what?

They are from the Alabama river drainage.

I have kept my house at 61 degrees all winter and it is starting to warm up a bit. And did a 90% water change a few days ago.

Very cool! I'm glad they colored up like that for you in your living room. That population would have been my guess. With the very light (almost white) head/fins, they look very similar to the ones I saw this year near Monroeville (Alabama River drainage). The ones I have the most experience with in central Alabama (Cahaba drainage) have very blue head/fins. And while I don't have much direct experience with the ones up in NE Alabama, apparently they don't have much of the blue/white on the head/fins.
