Hey everyone! I haven't been on for quite awhile but I'm happy to be back! I'm looking for links to guides and also and literature such as field guides of darters of central and eastern US. (Specifically arkansas.) Thanks!

I just got a Peterson's Field guide to fish of North America.  It is a nice book, I think.  If you are just browsing through it you can look at the range maps and find stuff that is in your area.

I think there may be a fishes of Arkansas in the making. Am I correct? Thought Uland was doing photos for it.

Yeah, you'll be in good company soon. I believe both Fishes of Arkansas and Fishes of Missouri will be releasing new state books within the next couple of years. It could be much sooner or later. Hopefully someone else has more information on the release date.
