Announcement of the IX. International Convention of the Goodeid Working Group under the title: "Conservation of Goodeids and Co-Occurring Fishes in Central Mexico"

NANFA member John Lyons is or organizing the meeting  which will take place November 7–11, 2018, in Guadalajara, Mexico.

This meeting will include a day of presentations on goodeid conservation from Mexican, US, and European scientists and two days of field trips to two important goodeid conservation
sites near Guadalajara, Teuchitlán spring and La Luz springs.

These two springs are together home to nine different goodeids and several other interesting native species.

At both sites you will have the opportunity to swim with or microfish for the fishes in beautiful clear water.

For more information please contact John at jdlyons@wisc.edu.

Jeepers, Tim. You just can't leave ANY fish alone now, can you? :)

Hahaa. I just love the diversity down there, lots of neat fish to catch and most haven't been caught on hook and line yet.
