I'm thinking about making a record system fish specifically for non-game species. It would be free to submit entries and easy to do through a website. Records would be based on length and the top 3 lengths would be kept on record. Any species and legal method would be game (Hook & Line might be separated from other methods). Would this be something that people might be interested in?

That would be pretty cool. We have a record catch system for the game fish, why not the non-game fish. Now where do I submit that 3 pound rainbow darter I caught...

The microfishing contingent would probably appreciate a "smallest recorded catch" record too.
We should all encourage microfishing, it's very low impact eco-tourism and appreciation of the outdoors at its finest.

This sounds like an awesome idea. I like the smallest recorded catch too!

So I've been going through various state records for fish and I believe I have the smallest of any state record actually. My creek chub record in TN is 0.104oz making it the smallest of any state record I believe. There are a few in KY that come close though.
