I am planning a fishing trip to Hogue creek in southwestern Frederick Co Virginia. Hogue creek is a put and take trout stream nice pockets and pools for micro fishing. Very diverse population of sunfish and minnows. The trout season is over in June so a trout license may not be needed. A Virginia fishing license should be enough. Please leave a post or pm if interested. If needed I have already set up parking.

If I wasn't going to the convention I would be interested, maybe another time? I need some microfishing tips anyways.

This creek is only 7 miles from my house. We can go anytime.

I was looking at Frederick Co, are you sure that's Southwest VA?

Great day this past Saturday. No nanfans were able to make it but several local fishing buddies went with me. Got a few pics before the camera decided to stop working. Nicest looking fish of the day.2017-06-13 17.14.14.jpg

I could live with calling the first a Fallfish, Common shiner, X-shiner?, and perhaps a Creek chub'ster.

Thanks Nick, didn't go with creek chub due to clear dorsal. Caught lots of creek chubs that day and all had dark stripe on side and dorsal spot. Next to last shiner still has me stumped. Bridle shiner maybe?
