I am looking forward to finally try some dipping and catch something other than crayfish(which is the majority of what my minnow traps get).
My Perfect Dipnet came today!

Great net, and now you can target specific habitats. Now you hunt instead of trap. Really. More fun tracking fish down, identifying them and releasing them. Then keeping the occasional specimen that you want to keep and learn more about. Great hobby. Good luck and enjoy that net.

The stream I was working was 4'-6' wide and anywhere from inches to 4' deep. There was a pool in front of a culvert.
Johnny darter?
Fantail Darter (they all had the short spikey dorsal with orange tips)
Baby Central Mudminnow(he came home with me)
Central Mudminnow (caught with above)
I also caught a massive tadpole. It was near 1.5" in diameter, with a 2.5" tail. Legs were just starting to sprout.
