Hello All,

Just learned about this site and it looks like a fantasiic resource! So many knowledgable folks out there.

I have been fishing for 50+ years and fish keeping for 20. I am into multi species fly fishing and expanding my life list. This has led to fishing for "non-gamefish" species and the need to I.D. fish that are not obvious.

I also keep cichlids (not North American, but South and Central American and African).

Looking forward to learning and hopefully contributing!

Let me know if you have any questions about the area.

I gave a presentation on Collecting Natives to the Danbury Area Aquarium Society last November and the response was fantastic so we are going to do some sampling once it warms up.  Are you near that area?

Welcome aboard.  I used to live in the Norwich area.  Spend much of my time fishing around that area.

What do you fish for in the area? I'm looking to expand my list beyond the traditional gamefish and panfish in the area and wondering if you have any suggestions. As far as micros go, I've only caught shiners and a few other common species.
