This week 8 Bluefin Killifish and 16 Pygmy Killifish arrived from Sachs. (they were WONDERFUL to work with FYI)

The Bluefins immediately attacked small snails and decimated my growing scud population. They hang out in the bottom of the tank and seem to hunt 95% of their day. The Pygmy Killis hang out in the top of the tank. They go after scuds too but seem a lot more interested in showing off for each other. The blue on the dorsal fin of the biggest male really stands out.

I've already started another scud jar to help keep the Killis fed and I'm going to research putting blackworms in the tank.

This has taught me that I need to get my 10g really going with scuds and blackworms before I order my Elassoma!

Omata are one of the coolest fish for a quiet planted aquarium.

They just hover and dart.

They love borrow pits down in the FL panhandle.
