Lesions on bottom feeding fish

While looking at collecting and fishing videos you cant help but notice all the lesions on catfish, suckers and carps that feed primarily off the bottoms of rivers. Obviously theyre being exposed to toxins in the sediment from pollutants or degraded water quality which weakens their immunity against fungus and other
pathogens. Some people are eating these fish! Regardless of the good-intentioned efforts of wildlife workers and nature lovers it seems were fighting a losing battle against environmental degradation. Do I sound a little bummed-out?

We are also just post spawning. Fish get pretty roughed up during that time. Not that this is the answer, but partially maybe.

I have been feed the fishes in last few months then I have been seen that the life is also important then I have been order the kayak life jacket from.
