This is a quick question for anyone up in Northern Ohio (actually more Northeastern Ohio), are the Steelhead in the rivers pretty well yet, or will it still be some time before they get in there thick? I've got the itch to try out the fly-rod.

If I get paid sometime this week (hopefully I do), I have some time off where I can shoot out during the week. Do you have time during the week at all?

Let me know 1 day ahead of time and I can be ready

Nope, PM it to me. I'm looking at Friday morning for this, I'll have to get Matthew Smith's attention on this one.

They have been in the rivers for between 1 & 2 weeks. I went last Thursday in Ashtabula, had a bit, lost one and caught one (3lbs small one) in about an hour.

Let me knw when you want to go. I am not sure if I can this week but I will try.

I don't actually fish, but I'm interested in collecting.

Valuable website, can't believe any of you guys haven't mentioned it yet. Some native fish keepers on it too and a thread comes up periodically about fish keeping. I used to plug NANFA all the time, not sure if it got a new member or not.

Okay, I'd like to let it be known that this Friday, the 16th of November, I'll be going out to Northeastern Ohio to fish for Steelhead. The otolyths of the fish that are caught (and obviously to be kept in accordance to the limits and regulations of Ohio) are to be removed and brought back by me to Bowling Green State University for the beginning of a study being conducted by fisheries biologists at the university. The more otolyths brought back, the better. I could use some help with this, so I'm inviting everyone who can make it and would like to fish for Steelhead out for a Friday morning fish-catching extravaganza. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks,
Nate

I heard the rocky is the only one clear enough for fishing because of the recent rain.
