This could be another thread, but how come no has ever named their team the Pickerels?

Because pickerel are wimpy. Now, "Flesh-eating E. coli" - that's a team I could get behind!

Not exactly Pickerels... but esox at least... check out the Lakeland College Muskies, of Sheboygan, WI

This could be another thread, but how come no has ever named their team the Pickerels?

And although not around anymore, check out the Minnesota Fighting Pike of the Arena Football League on wikipedia

I checked that out. I like their logo. Too bad it's copyrighted, it would have made a great avatar.
