Hi folks,
It's not fish-related, but someone on the board just might know... I'm looking for a DIY calcium/vitamin supplement recipe for dusting live insects (for frogs).
calcium - kinda off topic

I had one someplace.......I'm sure I can dig it up.
I was never really happy with it though.
One of the difficulties in mixing this stuff is getting the powder fine enough.
Really I'd suggest just using a top quality off the shelf suppliment such as Miner-all.
Cuts down on the irritation alot and in the end an 8oz can lasts a year or so.

Thanks BL,
I just thought I'd give it a try after reading the ingredients of the commercial supplemements: most all contain only powdered calcium carbonate. I do know that vitamin D is also important. I thought I'd try to grind some unflavored tums or a calcium pill in the coffee grinder, but would like to add the D if I can figure out how.
