The ACP starts
There is three of all good things, this is an old saying. Same for the ACP. About two years ago an idea was born and the first presentation of the ACP appeared on the web. An invitation to all aquarists was posted and first discussions of a handful of enthusiasts started. The importance of the programme was obvious. After a while, though, it became clear that the participants had no doubt, but it was hard to attract new participants, new ideas and new impulses. A switch to another website took place (www.austria-aqua.net), where a fish-database was presented and in use for the first time. This brought a few more participants and of course the fact that a breeding and conservation program for rheophil cichlids was started under the support of cichlidenwelt.de.
But now, the idea from the beginning on became true - a website of its own. Far from being a last painful try to get more acceptance, finally the results show, results of the tries, ideas, thoughts, and suggestions of the former years. The ACP has matured after consequent evolution, both in formal aspects as well as content-wise. This definitely does not come too early, but hopefully not too late. Whoever knows the ACP project so far is showing the greatest commitment and believes that this kind of programme is more than necessary, looking at the current situation.

Therefore anyone who has not had heard about the ACP yet, feel free to contact us now: Check out, what we are doing and what our intentions and goals are! Please join, contribute and work towards our common important targets. It is Our hobby after all.
