All,

I would like to announce the August picnic of the Southeastern Wisconsin Native Fish Club (SEWNFC, NANFA affiliate) this coming Saturday (the 23rd) at the home of Lee Corneliuson in Okauchee, WI. The picnic starts at 2:00pm and runs until ???. We will be having bratwurst, burgers, and beverages on the shores of beautiful Okauchee lake. We will also have boat rides on the lake, possibly a short natives collecting trip, and door prizes of fish from BTDarters that you can take home. It should be a fun time for all! There is a catch, though. We can only have a limited number of people come. If you're interested in coming, please email me (Brian) at bt@btdarters.com with your name and the number of people you would like to bring. I'll email you back to let you if you're eligible to come. The first few people who email me, up to our limit, will be able to come to the picnic. Again, this picnic is 100% free. You can bring a dish to pass if you'd like, but you don't have to. So if you're interested in coming, please email me. Thanks!

Note: We're able to offer a natives collecting trip as I have possibly the only permit in the state to collect natives for aquarium use. Only people in my party on this trip will be able to collect. If you take fish home, you will be asked to provide your mailing address as we need to keep this on-file for our DNR reporting requirements.

Hey! How did this event go? Good turnout? Collect any fish of interest?

The event went great! We had a good turnout and had lots of sun and fun! We ate to our heart's content, went for a boat ride on beautiful Okauchee Lake, had our natives meeting, and had native-fish door prizes. The fish were donated by BTDarters and consisted of High-Color Rainbow Darters, Johnny Darters, adult Blackstripe Topminnows, and juvenile Blackstripe Topminnows. We ended-up not going collecting, but I don't think anyone minded because everyone had a great time! Wish you could've been there!
