AOL has this "security" feature that their members use. Users are routed through proxies.... A LOT of them. Since the forum remembers the last visitors in the past 15 minutes each proxy is registered. The forum thinks they are all unique. I can reset this value, but it will happen again.

DOWN with AOL! Those cheeky bumlookers!! How can I possibly enjoy this board knowing that things like this are going on? Arghh, wail, gnash, etc...this board sucks...gripe, moan, bitch...damn administrators had to switch software...curse, lament <Irate throws dust on his head and rends his raiment, then fasts for 40 days and 40 nights>

I stand by that prediction. This forum was long overdue, and time will reward the wisdom of its creators.I found a foreign web spider crawling the site which most likely contributed to the anomaly. I banned it and reset the counter. 12 is little more realistic, although if your predictions are right Irate, 64 will be soon enough.

I'm impressed again, there were 243 users on this board at 12:47 p.m. today. Ha!
What can I say? The forum is the hit thing. I'll have to look closely to see what caused all of this.
Looks like good timing. We got hit by a search engine which apparently makes A LOT of connections and some russian spam bots attempting to spam.
