I just wanted to post this because it may be a good planning tool for those who want to come to Ohio and check out some of our streams. On Saturday May 2nd and Sunday May 3rd Ohio sponsors Free Fishing Days . On these two days you are not required to have an Ohio Fishing License to fish. Visit http://www.ohiodnr.c...ns/fishing.aspx for more details.
Would any one like to check out some NE Ohio Streams? I am hoping to be available on Sunday May 3rd. One stream that I have not been to in a while is the Little Beaver Creek, but I am not real familiar with good spots to fish. I am open to suggestions on NE OH streams.
I hope anyone who is able to take advantage of this opportunity is able come to Ohio on one or both of those days.

As I said in my e-mail, although I carry an annual non-resident Ohio license and the free fishing is therefore not inclined to tempt me, I'll be happy to participate if you get a group together. (Indeed, the fact that I carry the annual license should tell you that I'm happy to come anytime my schedule and the weather permit.) Just you, me, and Tom would be fine, too, if nobody else chimes in. But it would be wonderful if others want to participate. Let's hope you get a lot of responses.

I wonder where you got that idea from, Matthew? (I'm hoping to use Pennsylvania's free fishing days for this purpose, although probably the second one, depending on my schedule. They're not on the same weekend here. The second one is on a Sunday, so I hope you can make that. You may see a post on that as the time approaches.)
Ed, You did have a great idea. When are the free fishing dates in PA. Let us know. I am going to be putting a new roof on my house so Sunday June 7th and 14th are out for me.
