Matt Ashton (ashtonmj), Derek Wheaton (Kanus) and I ventured out to the Charlottesville area to do some sampling/collecting.

Site 1 - Rivanna River - Canoe Access at Milton
Lythrurus ardens - Rosefin shiner
Notropis rubellus - Roseyface shiner
Notropis amoenus - Comely shiner
Nocomis micropogon - River chub
Luxilus cornutus - Common shiner
Cyprinella analostana - Satinfin shiner
Hypentelium nigricans - Northern hogsucker
Campostoma anomalum - Central stoneroller
Etheostoma flabellare - Fantail darter
Percina roanoka - Roanoke darter
Micropterus dolomieu - Smallmouth bass
Micropterus salmoides - Largemouth bass
Lepomis auritus - Redbreast sunfish
Alosa sapidissima - American shad

Cambarus sp. - unidentified crayfish possible C. acuminatus complex

Site 2 - Rivanna River - Park at Elk Road
No new species

Site 3 - Buck Mountain Creek
Pimephales notatus - Bluntnose minnow
Thornburnia rhothoeca - Torrent sucker
Noturus insignis - Margined madtom
Lythrurus ardens - Rosefin shiner
Notropis amoenus - Comely shiner
Notropis procne - Swallowtail shiner

Guys, did we get stonerollers at the first two sites? I'm assuming so. I can't remember where we got the largemouth bass either. Thanks Matt for compiling the list.

Apparently the common name for the jumprock is blacktip jumprock. I believe it is black jumprock in Fishes of VA.

Largemouth at first and fourth site Drew. I think the same goes for stonerollers. I just didn't see it on my scribbled list.

Very nice, too bad I couldn't go. I can't believe you got a torrent sucker! I know they are kinda common but I haven't seen one yet.
