A Day at the Creek

During the Fall '07 semester, I was a TA for my favorite Cornell class, Field Biology. One unit of the class involves learning to identify many local fish species. One of our field trips had us seining and netting in one of the local creeks, after which we took a few of each species back to an aquarium in class. For full reports, see my blog posts:

It's still Luxilus for cornutus. I discourage students from wearing Yankees paraphenalia on my trips, but I know I tend towards strong opinions...
