I got my confirmation email but my membership status on the forum is the same.

Perhaps you would like to tell about your desires.  Is Santa bringing you any fish?  What part of the country do you live in?  Maybe you will think of attending the upcoming NANFA 2017 Convention in the Show Me State.

I agree. Location in general is important when people organize something and want to include others in driving distance.
