I just got a new outdoor tank with the dimensions of about 4'x4'x2' (it says it's 125 gal.). One of my stocking ideas was longears. So, my question is, how many should I stock in it? Obviously I would need either one or six or more, but I would like opinions on which would be better.

4 x 4 x 2 is more like 225. Fifty-five gal dimensions are 1' X 4' X 20 inches - you have a  little more than 4 times that. This might just sound like nitpicking, but really it's good news if your length dimensions are right - you have more options with a larger tank.

Haha, I thought it seemed bigger than my 125 gal. Stock tank
