So I went out today in Mukwonago WI and caught what I believed was a Northern Starhead Topminnow (sorry if that name is wrong.) I took a picture of it (the side and top) but seeing I thought it was the starhead, I released it. Are there any other cream colored fish that stay at the surface, with a gold (litterly gold irridesence) spots on the top and slight lines of spotting down the side in Wisconsin? I will try to get the pictures posted later.

i would say with the beep body and general shape and the stripes on the fish you have a female topminnow, starhead.
but i am not 100% sure is looks very close to other Fundulidae.
