Thanks! I did make sure I read through the Iowa regulations. It is on the threatened species list making it non-available for collecting. Thanks for the heads up! Good thing I called DNR themselves!

shipping should be ok now for this type of fish now that day time temps have dropped some.
E. A. americanus-Redfin and the Grass-E. A. vermiculatus
do a google search out side if this forum and you can find them for sale.

Not sure about your state laws, but possibly having a bill of sale might make them legal for you to possess? Smbass, Brian Zimmerman often has them for sale. Good luck.
You'll probably need a permit to keep them so they know your fish are legit & not illegally caught.
