What do you guys recommend as a good dissection microscope available used for under $500. I would like a binocular vision, and perhaps a camera for display on a monitor. As you see, I don't know much about microscopy, and just somehow stumbled into this.

Thanks,

Andrew

Look for something by Motic or Wolfe, two inexpensive but not junky microscope lines. You may find a digital scope that has a built-in CCD as a camera, but that might be of variable quality in a used model. Sometimes you can find a triocular scope that has a third view tube that can be fitted with rings for some kind of camera to be attached. A brand-new digital Wolfe scope might be $1500 as a fer-instance. It's also possible to capture images simply by aiming a camera into an ocular.
