Does anyone know anywhere in the western or southern suburbs of Chicago where theyre some grass pickerel or redfin pickerel?

Redfin pickerel are on the east coast, But grass pickerel are in Illinois.

You are aloud to ceatch grass pickerel in Illinois unless they just changed somthing.

Grass Pickerel are common in weedy tribs of the Kankakee - every weedy trib. They are also found in a few streams in south cook county but only locally abundant and in locations that are quite unusual for Grass pickerel.

I'm afraid Bruce's (Fundulus) suspicions regarding the legality of collecting Grass Pickerel are justified. Even if you take them on hook and line (not terribly difficult) the transport appears to be illegal considering VHS regulations as well as minnow as bait definition in Illinois.
