What kind of line would you guys suggest for carp fishing? I hQave 15lb monofilament line and wanted to see if this is to thick? I am trying to test what fish species are in a local canal and my first assumption was carp beacause the water is slower and slightly muddy.Another thought I had is bullhead and channel catfish.do you think these are good guesses?

This really isn't an angling forum and you'd be better served finding the answer to your question from a dedicated angling forum.
