I love to catch these shiners good fight and some times hard to locate.i go to every pond i can in central ma to find them .what a color they have

Very pretty golden, not often I see them that yellow.

I haven't seen a Golden Pond Shiner in years. I wonder if the pond i used to catch them out of is even still there.

We have them in streams here on LI - never seen them that gold color though - always silvery. Very nice looking fish! What time of year did you catch it?

just did !!!! our golden shiners are the true golden color .
