I caught a trout that has red marks on its throat but I am awared that there are no cutthroats in Minnesota and the lake only has brookies and bows.

It says that rainbow trout do not have any orange or reddish spots on their body.

I am no trout expert, but I did find this dichotomous key: http://www.fws.gov/n...us_fish_key.pdf
It says that rainbow trout do not have any orange or reddish spots on their body.
They don't included cutthroat trout in the dichotomous key, just let you know.
ID a trout sucks.....
