Got this juvenile pair from a local suppier, the suppier sent the package Monday afternoon and it arrived this morning. Instead of bringing it today door the CanadaPost office just shoved it into the mailbox down the street. Made me wait from 10:30am-9:30pm, made me think the package was going.to be late and delivered tomorrow. Luckily I checked the mailbox today at 9:45pm for bills and to my surprise the package was shoved all the way in the back of my mailbox. Who knows what would have happened if I waited a day later and discovered the fish. Besides my issues with Canada post, here's some pics guys. Couldn't really get good pics of the fish because the shape of the bag but I tried my best.

Priority Package the Elassoma.okeefenokee pair came in. It originally had brown parcel paper wrapping around it, the wrapping was a bit ripped though from the post guy shoving it in to the mailbox.

The fish were packed tightly in the a ball of newspaper. Absolutely no movement, even when I was trying to judge the weight.

The Elassoma.okeefenokee pair in the Kordon bag. Carious female not camera shy at all lol, heard they were supose to be skiddish fish. The female is currently 1/2".

The male Elassoma.okeefenokee, he's stressed out, but he should adjust within 2 or 3 days. The male is currently 3/4".

Great fish - you will enjoy those. Fresh-hatched brine shrimp is a great "welcome-to-your-new home-home" food for recovery after shipping stress. They might be either okefenokee or gilberti, depending on where they (or their ancestors) were collected. Since gilberti was just designated as a new species a couple years ago, many hobbyists (and books) refer to all of them as okefenokee.

Oh I see, that's pretty cool. I didn't know that, so far from what I read I learned that E.evergladei and E.okefenokee are practically the same. With the only difference, that one is only found in the Okefenokee swamp. So the info on the gilberti, is definitely some new input for me. I got a chance to see him flash his breeding colours today and he looks like this specimen:

Hi everyone,

It's been a long while since I last posted an entry on this thread. Ended up selling my original pair along with a few others, when I started my new college program.

Does anyone currently have any okefenokee or gilberti available? Looking for 15 individuals (9 males-6 females). If you do, please send me a PM, thanks!

Located in Mississauga, Canada.
