carp are extremely strong, and difficult to persuade to bite, europeans actually come here to catch trophy size specimens,asians hold carp in great esteem, value is in the palate of the consumer, by the way, zebra mussels improve visibility tremendously in dive sites such as nys 1000 islands, some people accuse us unfairly of importing them to our sites on purpose

Illinois has trophy Carp, and we're proud of it!

it really depends where you caught the carp, honestly.
In a small urban park lake, they'll definitely taste gross. The carp i catch smell like a stagnant fishtank.. =X

The same around here, plus they eat the eggs of more desirable natives like Bass and Sunfish.it really depends where you caught the carp, honestly.
