Would a long ear or a sunfish be good tank mates with cichlids i love long ears and i love sunfish and i was wondering if they would get along with my cichlids.

MoSt cichlids have different water requirements that NA natives. Africans cichlids usually require high PH. I don't know how well natives would do in high PH. I keep my Tanganyikan cichlid tank at 8.8 ph.

I'm new here, just joined today(but not new to natives) and already this is the 3rd thread I have seen about sunfish with cichlids. Before asking the question, use the search function in the top to try and find older threads with the same question answered.

But to answer your question it depends on the species kept together and the tank size. A long ear would get along with a firemouth GT JD Oscar etc in nothing less than a 90 gallon.

My Elassoma gilberti (gulf coast pygmy sunfish) spawned in 16-20 DH water.
They got along surprisingly well with my Neolamprologus multifasciatus cichlids.
