I went to electric-fishing on Minnesota River of August 8th to see what species is present in there. We collected 12 shovelnose sturgeons, three blue suckers, three flathead catfish, five shortnose gars, six walleyes, 10 common carps, a smallmouth bass, plenty of YOY channel catfish/freshwater drum, plentiful of gizzard shads and redhorses/buffaloes/carpsuckers are everywhere,

Noted that the blue sucker was killed by an accident :( therefore it came home with us.

Thanks, it was smallest one out of three blue suckers. The largest one was 36". I have no idea they can get that big.

Nope I went to Redwood Falls where we sampled the section of Minnesota River. I almost never passed the cities as see how north I am at right now (in Bemidji right now for the school)

Do you know Dr. Cloutman in Biology? He might have just retired, but he's Mr. Cyprinid Parasite (really!).
