I hope you have lots of room for babies.Bluegill usually reaches sexual maturity in their second year of life or when they are about 3” long.
Depending upon size, a female may deposit 2,000 to 67,000 eggs with and average of about 18,000.

Dominnant, fully mature, alpha males are hard to miss, they're a much deeper, more vivid blue/green/purple than females. Females are also heavier bodied.
