Any experiences with Mexican Tetras in the capitivity? They got me interesting and am thinking about trying them out.

Do you have access to any? (Are they for sale in your LFS?) I have not been able to locate any.
P.S. Are you referring to the commonly available, blind, cave variety? Or the wild (eyed/pigmented) variety?

I'm referring the wild eyed variety. Yeah it get confused when it comes to the fish that share same name, yet they are completely different from each other. I do have blind cave tetras here.

Yes, they are very easy to keep. They're ravenous feeders that can be a little aggressive. They have a formidable set of teeth. They're all over the place in Central and South Texas.

Are their disposition similar to Buenos Aires Tetras? I was thinking about mixing the Mexican Tetras with their blind formed ones.Yes, they are very easy to keep.
