I would suspect your camera has a macro setting ( for close ups ). Use it. You could add some lighting with a desk lamp or even a simple flashlight.
There is a world of minnows in North America that this fish looks blurry like. Also state where you collected it. Fish species change from region to region, state to state, habitat to habitat.
Buy the new edition of Peterson's freshwater fish and you will see the abundance of options and variables.
You will never be bored.
Maybe confused as i am a lot!

Not an albino. As for species? To take a stab, if I were you I would look at Bluntnose minnow, and maybe spottail shiner. Maybe someone else has some better suggestions.


out of curiousity I looked up images of a bluntnose minnow to see what they look like, a very variable species. Some of them are typical greyish with a black lateral stripe, some have a dark head, others an orangish cast to them, And none of them is green like the plush "giant microbes" toy of one on amazon. (the first nongame fish I seen as a toy, seen numerous game fish ones at bass pro before).
