What a cool little minnow... what a strange genus name... are they really that different from other minnows?

I believe they're closely related to Exoglossum, Rhinichthys, and Tiaroga. The west, while depauperate compared to the east, has tons of cool fish I'd love to see.

Just to clarify, I was not questioning their status as a species, just curious about the unique genus name (maybe I'm a lumper? )
