Wow ... those are coffee-table book quality shots !!! Keep them coming ... We Like.
What are those snails in the first pic with Etheo. edwini? Are they native, or feral Melanoides?
And is the red plant in the last pic Ludwigia palustris?

Post the photos elsewhere on-line and link them, better yet become a member and create a gallery account here on the home page and you can then put up as many images as you want.

Thanks for sharing Chris! Shoot me a PM if you head up toward southwest Virginia at all, though the rains today probably clouded things up for a while.

That first shot is by far the best photo I have ever seen of a Brown Darter. Keep up the great work!

Kanus,at the moment i am in TN,Cherokee Nat. Forest. Tried to photograph darters yesterday but nearly impossible. It was cold and the water clouded...not good working condition. Today it looks much better and i hope it warms up a little bit. I was 3 hours in the water yesterday... it was freezing ;)

Welcome to Tennessee. Freezing? The water temp. ought to be in the mid 50s+ F by now, you should have been here in April when the temp was just reaching the mid 50s. What photo kit do you use?

The first set of photos had some great shots. Thanks for sharing. The brown darter was dazzling, and I didn't recognize "Turtle City" but that was amazing too.

Hope you get warmer and brighter conditions.

You obviously did your research on places to go, you've been to some special fishy-places.

Trygon,i have the 7 D and 5D Mark II both with Underwater Cases of the German Company BS Kinetics.
2 Strobes with the 7D...not too special the equipment. Today again it was very cold outside so after 2 hours in the water i gave up. Haven`t found any Blue side Darter in Citico Creek ;-/...i will go south now. Tomorrow i will check out the snorkel hole in the Conasauga River
