Hey now Josh those are fighting words! I did only spend a couple years of my life studying the habitat of redside dace and catching a lot of them! That was an interesting situation in KY but I think Matt exaggerated the abundance of the hybrids. I counted and even number 10 each of actual redside dace and hybrid redside x SRBD. The SRBD were awfully abundant though, I'm sure we caught well over 100. Is odd and somewhat concerning that the redsides were so rare in such a nice looking stream. Maybe if we had hiked a couple miles upstream we would have seen more RSD.

I never exaggerate. Well sometimes I don't. Brian had the real numbers. I still think that it was pretty odd at 50/50.
