I found these today on Long Beach NY. I am pretty sure they are eggs of some sort.

I think they are gastropod eggs, perhaps a whelk?

Probably knobbed whelk or channeled whelk.

No prob.  I remember finding some at Myrtle Beach and looked them up.  I don't recall the species though.
