American Eel?

This was sent to me from a neighbor.  The fish was caught in the Des Plaines River in N. East Illinois.

This is awesome!  I bet some people at Illinois DNR or the Illinois Natural History Survey would be excited to hear about this as well.

The fish was about 2 feet long and was returned to the river.

My bf was the one who caught this: ) he's pretty proud!! He was using raw chicken breast soaked in garlic and cool aid.
