There's a small pond not too far from my place. The average depth is 1' with a max depth of about 5'. I've seen a few sunnies, usually nothing more than about 4-5" (and those are the large ones). I saw a 10" bass on one of my walks around the pond and caught a glimpse of a decent sized pickerel. There are a few large goldfish/koi loafing around every so often.

I've tried fishing a few times but never for very long and usually I could only catch the attention of the real little guys. My luck changed a couple weeks ago.

Was walking around with my amigos and saw the largest bass I've seen yet in the pond. I had my pole and casted out just beyond it. The fish hit and after a short fight...

Didn't get a length measurement or weight. Had it out of the water long enough to take the hook out and snap a couple of pictures. Was neat to see it swim back into the murkyness.

3 1/2 to 4 pounder. Certainly not microfishing.

No sir. Well, not micro with respect to a white cloud mountain minnow...

This was caught at Buckinham Pond for any local Albanian who happens to stumble upon this.
