What sort of conditions do they need to spawn? I was thinking of trying it with the ones I recently got.

This was ignored in another thread, but I'm still wondering...

I have personally never tried to spawn long term captive mudminnows (yet) in an aquarium. They have spawned yearly in one of my ponds.

I have spawned recently caught fish with no issues.

Spawning is usually at low temps (50 to 55 F), Eggs are scattered over detritus, leaves and plants. Fry can be fed Newly hatched Brine, daphnia and microworms until large enough to accept frozen or prepared fare. Aquarium spawning really should not be problematic. Cycle and condition them well they should spawn.

Cool, thanks.

All I need is a chiller.

...Or about $300 :(

Do you have a balcony at your apartment? You probably missed out this year, but next winter you can try to keep a tank out there, then bring them inside and you'll probably get them to spawn instantly if you time it right.

I wish I did. I would have tubs for killies and such already set out, but unfortunately I do not.
