Hi all. Can anyone ID this feeder tank rescue? I'm thinking it's an actual spotted bullhead, and not the spotted, form of the brown bullhead. I no longer have the fish. I had two, and gave them to my friend for his pond, as they had started to fight. My friend already had two in the pond.
This summer, my friend drained the pond, and only two, adults were left. The fry I have from him all have clear dorsals, which makes me think I've got brown bullheads, spotted form.

Spotted should have a dark dorsal base, like other members of its complex (flat & snail bullheads). I don't see that on your fish, so I'm guessing its the spotted form of brown bullhead.
