I was out working rocks in a stream north of Houston yesterday and caught my first adult Southern Brook Lamprey. I worked a lot of rocks, but found only four and they were all on the same rock. Here's a picture along with photos of with photos of ammocoetes I collected last year.

I have tried keeping a Least Brook Lamprey before in an aquarium, but correct me if I'm wrong, when they are adults and out on the riffles, they spawn and then die? ...
When adults they do not feed and only exist to spawn and then Die. Adults do not even have a digestive tract.
