My group of spotted bullheads have finally started coming out to feed in the day time! Still a bit skittish, they do become active when i am at the tank instead of never being seen at all. Adding shrimp pellets get them to make furtive dashes out in the open and even swim around for a few minutes. Very pretty fish but not much personality yet after one year or so of captivity. They are about 6 to 10" long.

Spotted bullheads are neat fish.
How big were they when you first got them?

The exact opposite of my Mud Sunfish. He's not aesthetically gifted, but he's got personality out the Acantharchus!

They were less than two or three inches long, they grow like weeds and are very cryptic in their behavior. Great fish, I am really glad they have begun to come out for me when i feed them. Not quite as personable as yellow bullheads but really pretty fish!
When you're pretty you can get by without a personality, though, can't you?
Exactly! But they are learning to trust me, nice challenge...
