Me and my son fished 6 days on the Red River at Selkirk Manitoba Canada. WOW...best fishing of my life. They have a awesome catfish fishery there with awesome regulations. That is why its so great fishing. Wish the USA would follow have regulations like them. We caught a total weight of 3,717.04 lbs of channel catfish. All but 3 fish were CPR. The 3 were small enough to keep for the air fryer. Most catches were caught on video with GoPro cameras and I will produce numerous videos for my YouTube channel "Catfish Stalker Outdoors with Capt Greg Ollila". The Navionics + US/Canada card worked awesome and helped us locate the fish. Navionics now has a NEW SonarChart shading feature on their HotMaps Platinum and Platinum Plus cards. Cannot wait to check that feature out next week fishing in Wisconsin.

3700 pounds in 6 days? Yowza!  I'm guessing their size requirements are that you have to keep fish under a certain size so the big uns are free to reproduce.  Or is there a slot?

Glad you could get out with your son.  Love that pic.  It might have to find it's way into Riffles at some point.  Hint, hint...

Canada eh? I always think warm southern waters for catfish, but that really isn't the case. Just ingrained in my head for some reason. Sounds like a great trip. That is almost two tons. You guys must have been using a trawl by moonlight.  :-$

Yes Manitoba Canada has a awesome regulation for the catfish. You can only keep 4 catfish daily and they must be 23.1" or under. We only caught 3 under that size all week. We love eating fish but we had to go and buy hamburger and live off that for the week. LOL

I recently went channel cat fishing on the Little Miami. We fished out of kayaks. It was a blast. Being dragged around by catfish was a new thing for me.
