The upcoming/perhaps-already-out issue of Amazonas features North American native fishes.  A quick look at the teaser material on-line indicates a Mark Binkley article and what I am very sure is a Isaac Szabo photo, though no credit can be seen in the teaser.  Anybody else seen this?

Also, if you picked up the gratis back issue of Amazonas at the convention in MS earlier this month, there is a nice trip report on Texas' Comal River.

Hi Matt. Yep, they purchased quite a few of my photos and used them for several articles. I actually don't know what the articles say since they sent me the German version of the magazines. But it's the Vol. 8 No. 4 (July/Aug) issue that has the most native stuff, including three articles featuring my photos (minnows, darters, and pygmy sunfish) as well as an article on sunfish by Mark and a short article on responsibly keeping natives by Derek. I think there's also going to be a native killifish article with my photos coming in another issue. Individual back issues can be ordered on their website for $10 (plus $3 shipping). Here's a link where you can order the one with most of the native content: https://www.amazonas...urally-natives/

Matt,

Look in the gutter, Isaac is credited for all of his photos.

Thanks, Bryce.  I missed that.

Yes!  Please support Amazonas.  They consistently publish material with North American fish content.  Based on my recent, personal experience, they do a great job editing for the quality of the information.  The text I provided was high quality (in my opinion) but the questions they asked were the right questions to insure that it was.  Buy it!

I got one, thanks Isaac for the above link.

Definitely worth the $13.00 I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very high quality magazine. I've been a subscriber for years. Highly recommend it.

Amazonas Nov/Dec issue, Vol. 8 no. 6 arrived yesterday with an article on "Killifishes from the U.S.A." and one on "The Littlest Livebearer, Heterandria formosa." Both articles are written by a German, but the killifish article used several American Currents references and the photos are by Isaac Szabo. The killifsh article is too short to give very good coverage of the fish, but both serve nicely to let others know about some of our more colorful and interesting native fish. Unfortunately, unlike the previous native fish issue of Amazonas, NANFA is not mentioned in this issue.
