Hello there,
I was able to get a strain of fundulus zebrinus from pease river in copper breaks state park in Texas. I live in the south west of France and i was wondering wether i could keep them outdoors especially during winter. The temperatures may drop below 23°F for a few days in january and february sometimes less. The container is about 200 liters buried in the ground so it wont freeze down to the bottom.

Plains killifish outdoors year round in sw france?

I would say yes. There are introduced populations in Montana and a few other northern states. If you are concerned, a stock tank heater will keep the water from freezing at all. It would likely be fine without.

Sounds like a plan. Let us know how things turn out.
